Watch the video below, taken at Gary Lee's layout, the Baker and Grand Ronde Railroad, by the Channel 2 (KATU) news crew. The video was taken just before the RCGRS 2018 Summer Tour, an event held every year by the RCGRS. This is just one of the fantastic layouts available for tour during the 2019 National Garden Railway Convention (NGRC).
Here's a few pictures of some of the other layouts you will be able to visit.
The Rose City Garden Railway Society is hosting the 2019 National Garden Railway Convention. The RCGRS is a group of individuals and families that share the common interest in railroads, either model versions or real versions. Some of our members are or were former railroad employees. Some are very accomplished artisans and craftsman. We can even boast that three of our members are Master Railroaders, as certified by the National Model Railroad Association. Many of us have very interesting railroad layouts, which you will be able to visit when you register to attend the 2019 NGRC. But membership in the RCGRS does not require you to have a layout, or even any railroad models or rolling stock. All that is required is an interest in railroads, models or real ones, and a desire to share your experience and enthusiasm with others.
Visit the Rose City Garden Railway Society web site. You might want to become a member and enjoy the comaraderie that comes with membership.
