We are calling on railroad enthusiasts who wish to share their knowledge and experience to present a clinic at the National Garden Railway Convention in 2019. The convention clinics will run from Tuesday August 27th through Saturday August 31st, from 2 P.M. through 5 P.M most days, with the possibility of some later sessions. Please review the Clinic Calendar to see if there is an open time slot you would like to have and if there are any topics not yet listed you would like to present. Of course, even if a clinic covering your topic is already listed, you could still present one of your own. More is definitely better in this case.
Desired clinic topics broadly include Gardening, Layout design and construction, Locomotive and rolling stock maintenance and modification, Structure modeling and bashing, Modeling skills such as air-brushing, couplers, weathering and new technologies such as Laser cutting and 3D printing. Other topics might include the history or evolution of the current railroad systems, lectures or seminars on locomotive types, and discussions of railroad related issues both past and current and possible futures as related to model and real railroads.
If you would like to present a clinic, please click here and fill out the form. We will review the submission to determine how best to schedule the clinic and accommodate your presentation needs.
In addition to the clinic data you provide on the form, we would also like to put pictures of you and the products you work with in the clinic or intend to build in the clinic on the web site. So, if in addition to filling out the form, you could send pictures to us to augment the clinic descriptions that we put on the web site, it would be greatly appreciated. Please send any such items, as well as any special requests, questions, or issues related to clinics, to 2019 NGRC Clinic Coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org).
